Lower Back Pain Exercises That Can Give You Back Pain Relief

lower back pain exercisesAs a teenager and an adult, I have personally suffered with numerous lower back pain injuries (even one where I managed to suffer a herniated lumbar vertebra in my spine), I can definitely feel for my patients who I care for in my West New York office who are suffering with low back pain, and so I have used various lower back pain exercises for years to help myself manage occasional lower back pain flare ups.

Lower Back Pain Exercises

But According to the American Chiropractic Association, anywhere from 70 to 85% of the adult population will experience low back pain. In fact just last year here in U.S the total cost of lower back pain treatment exceeded $100 billion per year, with seventy-five percent of the total cost attributed to fewer than five percent of the patients with low back pain. The risk factors for low back pain are pretty much everything too: people with sedentary jobs, people with demanding, physically active jobs, smoking, obesity, job dissatisfaction, depression and anxiety.

So odds are there is a good chance that you or someone you know is going to suffer from low back pain at some point in your life. So proper treatment, exercise, and chiropractic is necessary to ensure that you get over it quickly and that it doesn’t become a chronic life long problem for you by taking these steps:

Find the Right Chiropractor

Before doing any lower back pain exercises first and foremost always get with the proper health professional who is competent and very familiar with properly evaluating your spine especially your lower back, and can help you to correct the underlying cause of the problem. The longer your lower back problem goes untreated, the longer your body gets used to the problem as “being normal”. Many West New York and North Bergen and Weehawken, residents who suffer with pain generally realize that pain goes in time as the body gets used to the new, “faulty” normal, but unless the underlying problem is properly taken care of, you could be setting yourself up for long-term chronic life long problem.

Consider doing preventative lower back pain exercises  to not only strengthen your low back muscles spine and core, but do ones that will also maintain normal healthy functional movement. You have to keep strong and mobile.

But always remember to stay active and stay healthy as best as you can. All the common sense things like getting up and moving as often as possible, maintaining a healthy weight, eating healthy foods and drinking lots of water will go a long way.
